Regulatory Review

The National Energy Board, Northwest Territories Water Board the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board are responsible for issuing licences and permits for the Mackenzie Gas Project. In October 2004, the National Energy Board received an application from the MGP proponents for a certificate of public convenience to construct and operate the Mackenzie natural gas pipeline, natural gas liquids pipeline and the three anchor fields proposed in the Mackenzie delta.





Sierra Club of Canada is a registered intervenor in the hearings of the National Energy Board and is actively reviewing the applications of the proponents of the Mackenzie Gas Project to be considered by the NEB.
